Ready-mix concrete (RMC) is concrete that is manufactured in a batch plant, according to each specific job requirement, then delivered to the job site "ready to use.

An RMC batching plant, or ready-mix concrete batching plant, is a facility that mixes ingredients to produce concrete for construction projects. The concrete is then transported to the construction site, where it can be used immediately. 

What it does

  • Mixes ingredients like cement, water, sand, and aggregates to produce concrete 
  • Produces concrete according to the specifications of a construction project 
  • Delivers concrete to the construction site in a ready-to-use state 

How it works 

  • The concrete is prepared in the batching plant and then loaded into concrete mixer trucks
  • The concrete mixer trucks transport the concrete to the construction site
  • The concrete is then transferred from the truck to a trailer pump, which delivers it to the exact location of the pour
